This device presents itself as a COM port on the PC (also works with Linux and MAC). Text commands types into the serial interface are interpreted and sent as I2C commands to the I2C interface. As an example the text:
s 55 r g-3 p
Would send the following to the IC2 bus:
- (s) Start condition with start address (address configurable)
- (55) send the hex byte 55 (decimal option can be used)
- (r) send a restart command with address+1 (read)
- (g-3) get the next 3 bytes from the I2C bus
- (p) send the stop condition
